Index Advisor reads a managed PostgreSQL databaseโs own workload and recommends indexes to add, with the evidence behind each one, plus unused, duplicate and invalid indexes to review. It is on by default for PostgreSQL databases created since 27 October 2026; an older database turns it on with one restart.
Every managed database can stop and start on a schedule: pick a preset or your own days and times in the console, in your local time. A three-broker Kafka cluster stops and starts as one and the MCP server sets the same schedules from your editor.
Exploring
